Please Pray For A Peaceful Passing-Update on my brother

I promised you an update
and I wish it could be an
uplifting post- one
full of hope and joy.

Sadly, that is not to be.
My brother, Charlie,
was diagnosed with
Stage 4 cancer.
It is a very aggressive cancer
and it appears that he has
only had it for a month at most.
This is the little brother I
have loved his whole life.
At this point in time,
the doctors are giving him
days, perhaps hours to live.
He has gone downhill rapidly,
but he knows I am here
and understands that I
(and his whole family)
love him.

He is a Christian and is at peace
with his spiritual life.
At this point, I am asking you
to pray for a peaceful
passing for him-one free of
pain and angst-that he
could just slip peacefully
away knowing that he is so so so loved.

We have much heartache ahead...
but I wanted you all to know.
Thank you so very much for
your prayers.
They are just being answered
in a different way than I hoped.
I have not responded to your comments
but please know that I have read,
and savored, everyone of them.

I will keep you posted.
Love to all of you-
Diana

  5. I am so sorry about your brother!Cancer is an evil thing...my mother passed away after a 5 year battle with breast cancer at the age of 56. It is so hard to watch someone you love go through that battle and to sit helplessly beside them.Know that I am thinking of you at this time and I am praying for a pain free journey!

  64. I am so, so sorry. And I will most definitely pray. I'll pray for comfort for you and your family as well. I am happy to hear that he is a Christian, though. Because of that, he'll be taking the trip of a lifetime. An eternal vacation at a resort that is out of this world. I'm looking forward to going there myself, someday, and I don't even have to save up thousands of dollars to pay for it! :-) When I lose a loved one to heaven, I try to think of their absence like that and it gives me comfort. When we get there we'll probably wish we would have arrived sooner because it's going to be that great! I'm just in no hurry to leave little loved ones behind.
