When the day is a busy one
I like easy.
I like an
Easy Recipe
and an
Easy Evening.
You'll note that I
DID NOT SAY
that I am easy.
I might have been a
CHEAP DATE
because I didn't drink
but I was
NOT EASY!
This recipe is from
and is
EASY
and
TASTY
and
OH SO GOOD
to make and enjoy
during one of the
last cold spells
of the year.
Cheesy Chili
Hash Brown Bake
1 1/2 lean ground beef or turkey
1 (15.5 oz) can Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce
1 (15 oz) can chili with beans (I use Hormels)
1/2 of a 30 oz package frozen
shredded hash browns (about 4 cups)
(a little more hash browns if you are using the 9x13 pan)
2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese
Preheat oven to 425º
Brown meat until it crumbles and is
no longer pink.
Stir in sloppy joe mix and chili w/beans.
At this point, the recipe used ramekins.
I used a 7x10 greased casserole.
Cover with frozen hash browns.
Cover with frozen hash browns.
Bake COVERED with tin foil for 30 minutes.
UNCOVER and bake 10-15 more minutes
until browned and crisp.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake
5 more minutes until cheese is melted.
EAT & ENJOY
Oh..yeah..about the
SERMON?
Well, it's ME that GETS
THE SERMON!
THE SERMON!
I think most of you know that
I am married to a
PASTOR
and he is always
PREACHING
at me about
SOMETHING.
I am NOT a very
good parishioner...
at least at home!;>)
ps...hopefully, the weather will
cooperate so I can paint that
TV for tomorrow's post!

Sounds like a delicious recipe. I would try it this evening, but I don't have all the ingredients and I am not shopping, so I'll have to save it for later.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd love to see that painted TV. I hope the weather holds out, too.
Is it weird that I actually have all these ingredients in my house. Considering that I rarely have sugar for a recipe when I need it. Have a great day, Easy Diana!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds yummy! It would be a perfect dinner tonight with all the fresh snow on the ground!
ReplyDeleteDiana, I am sure after fixing that nice supper for your very own pastor, he'll turn the sermon into grace.:):)Smiles, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteOh, that sounds like one the grandkids would like! Now that I have seven of them, I'm hauling out all the casserole recipes again. ~ Maureen
ReplyDeleteThis looks delish. Anything with hash browns is a winner with me! Painting a TV? I can't wait to see what you do. Have a good Sunday...and I never, ever thought you were easy. :o)
ReplyDeleteooh, how I would love to devour this dish... but my acid reflux would quickly put me in my place.
ReplyDeleteOh tht looks yummy. I will have to try that. I love any kind of chili.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know your Hubby was a pastor. Sweet.
Looks pretty delish to me!
ReplyDeleteNo one likes to be preached at at home. I feel for you.
ReplyDeleteYummy looking recipe. Hubby is probably just practicing on you for Sunday. Have a good day.

ReplyDeleteAnd and other thing. I am also married to a minister. He is a graduate of Baylor University in Texas. He preach any more but does love his Gospel music with a passion and knows better than to preach at me! :)
The mac and cheese recipe looks delicious! I take Southern Living but missed this one. It sounds wonderfully easy to make.
SO very nice to meet you. Thank you for becoming a follower! YOU are NOT getting rid of me either! LOL

I know your not easy! But a cheap date? I doubt it!!!
ReplyDeleteI would be good about the surgery tomorrow, if they would throw in some collagen for my lips and a bit of botox!!! LOL!!! Let me know if your surgery will include extras!!
xxDaniella
OOPS! I forgot to say thank you for your sweetness!! My surgery is tomorrow at 9am! I will have stitches, gross, in my eyelid and I'm not sure if I will be able to blink or see with them!!!! ugh. I'll let you know how it goes if I can see when it's done!!!!

Gotta run. Have a nice Sunday. Take care, Janet W
