Painting A TV With A Poltergeist

Well,

The Crazy Lady did it!

THE CRAZY LADY

PAINTED HER TV.

I know, I know...

What kind of person

paints a TV?

Simple-

One that doesn't want an

ugly black box

in an all white sitting room.

One that still has wonderful old

VIDEO TAPES

and needs a place to play them.

So~ here you go.

Remember it started like this...

Not too purty, is she?

Can I get an Amen to that?

First I talked nice to her

and lined her mouth with tape.

Then, because I thought she was

already squawking I went a

step further and shut her mouth for good

by filling the rest of her gaping face

with an  8x8 sheet of white paper.

Then,

I dragged her unwillingly out to

THE PAINT SHOP

commonly known as

the garage but don't tell MyHero

because he will have a stroke

on the spot if he knows I

painted inside the garage

no matter that the doors were open

and every square inch of floor was covered

I laid her face down so she

couldn't see what I was doing.

See that white spot on the back?

Yeah..that is Annie Sloan chalk paint.

I finally found something it

DOESN'T WORK ON

(that is 4 coats).

It looked worse in person that it does here.

Then I commenced to spraying

with Kilz Primer.

Kinda scary, huh?

And not looking too promising at this point.

But, like the pig giving up its bacon,

I am COMMITTED at this point.

There is no turning back now.

Well, one light coat should do

it, right?

So....

Onward I go...

Just like a

Christian soldier..except my

weapon is a spray paint can

and my armor is my dirty old

chambray shirt and yucky jeans.

First coat of

Heirloom White

is on.

Looking pretty good~

Second coat finishes the job.

Then, ever so gently,

I peel open her mouth

so she can talk again...

And here she is..

TA DA!

And, as you can see

she still works!

Wanna see her up close and personal?

Not bad for an old broad, huh?

Oh...and remember the

POLTERGEIST?

Well, when I got this baby

out to the garage

I noticed that apparently

SOMEONE

was trapped inside.

It's okay.

I told her to

GO TO THE LIGHT

and it appears that she

is now living in my lamp.

So, if I can paint a TV,

anyone can.

Although a good dose of

CRAZY helps you

get started.
