Bits And Pieces Of Christmas Here And There

I'm back in Milwaukee
for a couple of days.
BigBoyE needs someone
to corral him whilst
Daddy is at work
and Mama is recovering.

Before I left my own house
I got a lot of my
littles done.

You know
The Littles~
The little things you do
after you dress the
tree.

Like a little
side table that sits in the foyer,
with a candle holder on it,
surrounded by a few greens
and a rose.
Here's a close up of the candle
inside.
I love these candles.
I bought 3 of them several
years ago.
I have never seen others
quite like them.
Across the entry hall
sits a 40" tall candlelabra
with a floral arrangement.
It sports a
Merry Christmas
sign and one lone
mercury ball.
A little different angle..
There are a few sugared pinecones
on my main mantle.
Love those pinecones-
I've had them for years.

The candles are lit in my windows.
And I am almost done..

I had a bit of help.
MyHero helped carry stuff
up from the basement.
He isn't crazy about doing it-
but he did it-
without complaining
cuz he LOVES the way
the house looks
all decked out for
Christmas.

When I get home I will
show you some broader pictures
of the house
with the candles lit in the
windows...
and the porch garlands lit.

But I will leave you with
this...
Whilst I am babying,
decking the halls,
and cooking up dinner,
this is what
MyHero
is doing.
God bless him and all.....
The man can sleep through anything!

  6. Beautiful, I love what you can do with just some small things. Everything here is still in boxes, as the remodeling project at daughter's house takes my time right now.

  9. I love those little candles, too! Everything is looking so good there and can't wait until you can post more about it. Hopefully, one day, things will be back to normal! At least you have the time to do it- things working according to a master plan- and...you had better be getting in baby hugs. More rugrat photos, please!
Your Hero sleeps well- if there were a category in the olympics, I am sure he would take 1st place.

  15. Lovely littles ;) Plenty of stuff for me to get into while you are away.....want me to go jump on the bed??!! Being your furriend and all, I would do that for mew ;) Of course then I would run like the wind.....but hey, I'd do it! I hope mew is having a grand time with the baby. Remember, if I am not allowed to climb the tree, neither is he.

    Purrs!

  17. Oh Diana,

Same here, mine doesn't like bringing in all of the boxes and trees from the Christmas shed (yes, we bought a shed because I don't have a basement, and my Sweetie is not going up and down one of those itty bitty attic ladders with all of this stuff - living in California does have some drawbacks!!)

But, I like you, love putting up all of the little nook and cranny's all over the house.

I love your candles and the sugared pine cones! I've loved watching all of your decorations going up, all while taking care of mommy, new baby, a two year old, and of course your Hero!

Have a good time away - going to decorate for your daughter?

    Blessings,
    Donna

  21. My littles got so big, I decided not to do anything. Seriously, we are going to Tennessee and Illinois for Christmas and New Year. So I did just enough to satisfy that itch. I hope to post some of the girl's decor and of course take credit for it.
Love the candle in the globe. I don't think I have ever seen one like that either. So pretty.
    Merry Christmas,
    Ginger
