MyHero and I love to take drives.
We drive near.
We drive far.
Sometimes we even remember
where we went.
This is NOT one of those places.
I cannot, for the life of me,
remember the name of the
little town we stopped in
when we found this cute
little coffee shop.
It was a forced detour
off the main road...
but look how cute this place is.
It sat right at the top of a
small water fall.
Not only do they serve this
wonderful product~
I found several fun little things
that filled the shop walls
and shelves.
I HAD to have this!
The girl that was behind the sales counter
assured me that this was the work
of a wonderful local artistian..
I was REALLY surprised
when I got to the car and turned it over
and discovered
THIS TAG
on the back.
Wow! I went overseas and
never even needed my passport.
I hardly knew I had passed out
of the country!
As we moved along with our day
I need to find one (or several)
of these places.
This gave MyHero an opportunity
to do something he loves...
rock picking..
Look how happy this BigBoy is!
A few moments later I noticed
he was in distress.
Whatever is the matter? I wanted to know...
My pant leg has fallen and if
I bend over to fix it the weight of
the rocks will take me to the ground!
Soooo sad.......
Don't pull your hair out, honey!
hehe... what a dilemma your guy has there. Come on, Diana, go help him out :)
ReplyDeleteThat is funny. The funniest is the made in China tag..WOW! Cute coffee shop though.
ReplyDeleteNow you know the name of that little town, China.. Tell you honey that luckily his pants were tight enough in the waist that they didn't fall to the ground.
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute. Love the little coffee shop and sounds like a fun day. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteyou're so cute. :o)
ReplyDeletepoor guy, I know about rock love, I'm a rock picker too and we do suffer for our craft!
ReplyDeleteSuch a good love you are to help him out.
I think you are enjoying your new found freedom,, a lot.I can ghaer it in your voice,, how is sweet cheeks enjoying your retirement???
Since China pretty much owns us, it could have been made here...oh, that sounds terrible!!
ReplyDeleteNext time your Hero might think about wearing crop pants.
Hugs...
You are so funny...sometimes you even remember the places!! Sounds like me, I have no memory!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it was a fun day! I love to collect rocks and shells. Sometimes I just buy them From Michaels!
Have a wonderful weekend!
XO,
Jane
LOL! The China tag was hilarious!
ReplyDeleteGood grief, Diana! It probably came from Hobby Lobby. Disappointing. I love the pics of your Hero. He didn't find any of those made in China stickers on his rocks did he? ; )
ReplyDeleteLeave it to your Hero to get into such a dilemma, Diana! I see he even has an official rock picking bag:) And it looks like wherever you went (China, perhaps???) it was quite warm! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
ReplyDeleteahhh, your hero is adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, how many of us are fooled by what "they" tell us when we buy something like your cute sign. lol
It is cute as can be, no matter where it was made.

Hey Diana,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to come over and thank you for your sweet comment on the recipes. I would have e-mailed but I'm not sure if folks are getting my e-mails...something strange is going on with it!
You can't go wrong with any of those recipes, I promise you will LOVE the corn casserole...I got that from a good friend 20 something years ago and make it every year. My sister's MIL gave me the ham and cheese recipe...she and her husband entertained extensively over the years and I loved getting recipes from her.
Let me know how you like them....
Judy
What a cute post. Looks like it was a nice day. And my husband and I like to take drives too. Although we don't do it as often as we would like to.
ReplyDeleteOh I love to pick up rocks too.
ReplyDeleteI always weight Greg's backpack down. ;)
Love that little coffee shoppe.
I love sipping coffee from little white coffee cups.
What a fun outing.
I didn't realize you guys live near the beach!
xo
Oh Diana, you make me laugh! The "made in china" tag was very funny but your hero's dilemma is hysterical!!! Very cute story.
ReplyDeleteLove that you two enjoy taking road trips together!
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable coffee shop. Looks like an old filling station (when was the last time you heard that term). Sounds like the girl was quite the salesman. I bet the had genuine French fries too.
ReplyDeleteGod knows he need all the hair he has!!LOL!! Don't tell him I said that.
ReplyDeleteThe China tag is a hoot. Kinda makes you mad though. We were in the Bahamas once, I bartered for a good price on a "local artist's" painting. I thought I got a good deal until I got back to the ship and saw the price on the back was lower than what I paid. OH WELL. Hugs, Ginger
Haha So funny. Me and my husband love to take drives too. And to end up at a charming coffee shop. I LOOOOOOVE small quaint coffee shops. There's something so wonderful about them.

How funny about that cute sign! I'm still giggling over your hubby and his pants leg. You have an awesome blog. Speaking of not remembering where you were, I was going to tell you the blog where I followed your link from, but for the life of me can't remember where I found it! :)
ReplyDeletesounds like a fun time....even though the sign was from China!
