Well....
Some of you know that we
bought a
Lord-In-Heaven-
Bless-Us..
Bless-Us..
Motor home.
Now this is not just
ANY OLD
motorhome.
No..indeedy..
this is one MyHero has
been hankering for since
1976...the year she was made!
Time moves on..
but sometimes dreams don't.
If you missed meeting
Pearly Girl
you can read all about her here.
Anyway...
now that she is being
rent apart from stem
to stern we are thinking that
she might be
ROAD READY
by Fall.
We have decided our
first excursion should
not be too far from home.
We think we found the
perfect spot..
Only about 20 miles away.
A perfect spot for a
PASTOR!
Ahhhh...look at the
check-in building....sah-weet!
And there's an old mill..
And some wonderful old
outbuildings.
A log cabin..
and another piece of history
Then we drive up to see
some beautiful camping
spots...
Many of them are set up
as semi-permanent places
with decks and gazebos..
Oh..look..*sigh*
Ahh...we see one we like
but wait....
wait...
wait....
Ahhhh...Ummmmm..
Is THIS one of the neighbors?
Oh...these are cute little
gals...
ahhh-ummmm...
Well, THAT'S
an interesting...
ummmm..
camper????
Oh...MyHero says it is a
Fifth wheel..
Seriously...who knew..
I thought it was an outhouse
attached to a bus...
So...I'm thinking...
maybe we will just
camp in our own backyard..
Care to join us?
Bring your suspenders
and your rolled down nylons..
it's gonna be a long weekend!
TRASH pickup is free!
You have to post that first outing...at least he didn't buy the outhouse bus 5th wheel thingy...
ReplyDeleteYour backyard might be a good place to start.
I could borrow one of Rebecca's campers and head out. Better yet, I'll just bring Rebecca, camper and all and we can camp on the Bay! I'm holding you to that free trash removal.
Have a fun day- we are going to get DH's license renewed- driver's license that is, and then some shopping at Paris.
Hugs- Tete
Well that Devils River sure might make for some riveting stories.

LOL! They look like friendly folk. Why would you ever leave your yard, it's so beautiful there you seriously can't beat it.
ReplyDeleteI think camping in your own backyard may just be the ticket!! Who knows what lurks out there!
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend, my friend!
XO,
Jane
Well, that place would surely be an adventure.. but I went back to see the post about the Pearl & it linked me back to an adventure in a thrift store with baby E.. I am still laughing... Thanks for starting out my morning with a smile.. : )
ReplyDeleteYou had me until the neighbor dude...everything up to that point, looked so quaint and inviting! We're taking our tin-home on wheels out the end of July for a big family get together, it'll be 'my' first time in (his man cave)! We'll be heading to San Juan Island, and the cost of putting that bad boy on the ferry almost made my McGiver want to tent it, instead...I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat to hear about your getaway! Ours will be with family, so if we run across any strange behavior, it'll be from our own family tree...:) xo Debbie @ Cottage Hann~Me~Downs
ReplyDeletethats just a tad frightening,, hope your camping trip will be a happy one,, you make laugh so hard,,
ReplyDeleteI'm totally scared... I'm laughing tho through the fear~
ReplyDeleteI'm for camping in the backyard.:)
You crack me up~
xoRebecca
LOL That was so funny...love the homemade 5th wheel! ;D
ReplyDeleteSeeing the "neighbors" is enough for me to just decide to stay home and visit the neighboring Wal-Mart. Heck- I don't have waste gas driving out to a remote place to see these beauties. They're in line ahead of me, all dolled up for a day of shopping! LOL :-) sue
ReplyDeleteDear dear dear, I guess I'll have to buy me a tin can on wheels and go to that Devils River park. Oh wait, we have a 'shorty' bus, I can attach a coffee can for a toilet, pick up an old mattress off the side of the road, and I'm ready to go. Looks to me lak we will fit rat in with the rest of the inmates, err campers. I'll go weld the hitch on, so we can attach it to the wrecker, and we'll be rat thar.
ReplyDeleteOh my. Oh my. Oh my.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm speechless. LOL~!
What a hoot of a post! LOL! Backyard camping sounds safer!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Maryjane
Oh this is just too darn cute!!! Love it, Diana! I hope you're having a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteXO
Cindy
Neighbor dude...scary.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I'd be careful about Devil's River. But it might be a good mission field.
ReplyDeleteHowever, just because a guy is running out without a shirt and wears suspenders doesn't mean he's lost. He probably just doesn't need stylish clothing to sit on his porch and drink beer. *LOL*
So much fun! Love that you've gotten it and know you'll both have a blast wherever you take it! Hope you have a wonderful weekend,
ReplyDeleteKathy
Hey...those three broads look familiar! I think it's you, Laurie, and me on our trip!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this post!
Hugs,
Debbie
Oh my goodness. I'm scared, I'm veeeeery scared.
ReplyDeleteYour neighbor looks like her would have an endless supply of beer on hand at least (judging by his waist size). One plus to camping in the backyard is that you wouldn't have to use that lovely toilet with the orange carpeting around it, you could just go inside your house.
ReplyDeleteI'll bring jello shots...a must for any true camper!
