HONEST feedback here..
Let it all hang out..
I do!
Well, not literally..
Although some of IT hangs
out even when that is not the plan.
Which is why I have taken to wearing
longer skirts ;>)
Anyway--the question here
to the people that read my blog..
Some people (who shall remain
nameless unless they get too cocky)
have suggested that I consider
shortening my posts up..
Making some of the longer ones
into two posts.
They feel that people like to
be able to sit down for a
quick read and then move on.
So...the question is.....
Scroll through a few of my past blogs..
Do y'all (love that Southern term, don't you)
want shorter blogs?
Faster to read blogs?
More blogs about crafting and
things I fix up and re-do.
Now...Not that I am gonna actually
follow your wants, you understand?
Just asking...
So...write your little heart out..
Anonymous is fine if you don't want to
out yourself.
Seriously..
Seeking..
Thoughts!
Be yourself and blog the way you want to. Who cares what anyone else thinks. I love your blog the way it is.
ReplyDeleteI was raised a baptist, so I'm used to long winded folk. LOL!
Each of your post tells a story and you are a great story teller. Do what you love to do and people will come.
We can tell the fakes from the real mccoys.
Be real to you.

Hi, I think you should do your blog the way you want to. After all it's about you. I'm going to follow you, so I can come back and read more. Thanks for stopping by.

ReplyDeleteYour blog...do your thing.
Start trying to please eveyone and it's not fun anymore!
That's why I love blogging....if you don't like someones advice...( that you didn't ask for in the first place), you can silently say "BITE ME"...under your breath.
and no one knows!!!!!
Life is good!

Sweet Up-North Mornings...
Hi Diana,
ReplyDeleteIf you were blogging for a living, example: a home decorating blog with a ton of sponsors, then It would be a different story. Your is a hobby blog were you just put random thoughts and ideas. And I wouldn't have it any other way!
XoXo
Diana, I love your blog, because it represents you, some days it is short and sweet, and some days it is longer and even sweeter. I could sit here all day and read your writing.
ReplyDeleteThose that want you to 'shorten up' will just have to read half the post now, and the rest later on. Nothing says that they have to be reading that current post, so you do your thing, just the way you've been doing it.
Love ya Sis
Whoever they were, they should have kept their "short" comments to their self. :) Your blog represents you and I love it. It's cheery and happy and funny.
ReplyDeleteFirst off your blog is your personal space that you have allowed us to be a part of. I like your stories to be honest, they are fun and loving, and different. I mostly see home decorating and crafts and they are quick reads..so to have a blogger friend who let's say has the gift of gab wink wink...don't mind it at all:) So you just keep on keeping and who wants to read great, who does not or has not the time that day, that is OK too..never take it personal, and just be yourself. ReplyDeleteWell, ladies- I love the response. A couple of gals I work with that read other blogs thought this was a bit wordy....and the one person that I kind of worried about is my friend, Jettie. She has dial up and I KNOW it is a commitment for her to download (upload-whatever the heck it si) all the pictures I post sometimes. I see you are present and accounted for, sis...so I am good to go. Thought you might leave me an ANONYMOUS comment on this (as you are wont to do on occassion)-lol
ReplyDeleteI'm here for the long haul, folks. And....TA DAH I am leaving on vacation a week from today and already planning out my mad Magazine Mockery stragety to keep you laughing whilst I am gone.
Hugs to all that have posted so far...and hugs to those to come- xxoo Diana
You can make the ones about BabyE a little longer and include more photos, but other than that, it's fine. xo
ReplyDeleteDiana, most of the time, the size of the pictures here lets them load pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteAnd while they are loading, I can always read the words.
Yes, sometimes I post as ANONYMOUSE
btw Route 66 is open if you haven't been there since yesterday.
Diana...I love this place just the way it is!! Happy trails!!
ReplyDeleteI love your posts. They make me laugh. That is why I read every one of them. I don't always read every post of the blogs I follow on my google reader - but I do read all of yours..because they are fun and refreshing. I would love to see more posts about things you are working on - for your home - crafts, projects..etc.
ReplyDeleteTotal agreement that it is your blog. You make it the way you want it on any given day. People can always skip through if they want to. Let your words flow how you want...
ReplyDeleteThanks again, ladies. Guess I will continue to be my usual blabby self! Hugs- Diana
ReplyDeleteDon't you DARE change!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'll be having nightmares now, at the thought of it! :)
Stealing a quote from "Bridget Jone's Diary" -
"I like you just the way you are."!!

Hi there! Popping over from Suzanne's blog and wanted to chime in on this. Here's the thing, if you are blogging for you, then post as little or as much as you want. If you are blogging for your readers and the sake of keeping/getting readers, I'd say short.
ReplyDeleteThere are a couple of "long" posters I follow and only litteraly a couple because I don't want to commit to read long posts. Even DYIs, I hope for more pics than directions.
So there you go. For whatever that's worth.
