MONDAY MORNING PUMPKIN & PROZAC

Well,
the countdown is on,
isn't it?

I am sitting by the fireplace
with my morning
cup of
"Thank You God Coffee".

In our rental I am looking
towards our dining area
and loving my
opaline pumpkin.
I am headed to work in a bit
and starting to plan on how to deal
with the upcoming
Thanksgiving Day.
I think this will work.....
Here's hoping YOU have a
STRESS FREE
Thanksgiving!

Happy Monday!

Yes, there is lots of stress from now until all the holidays are over. I don’t welcome it, but the memories that are made make it all worthwhile. At least that is what I tell myself. I hope you have a very nice Thanksgiving, Diana.

Ha ha! I now a relative or two that could use that! We’re home alone this year. Low key day for us.

I’m thankful we are a low stress bunch and there’s no trauma and drama. That would be hard!
I imagine it’s hard for you to juggle all that you want to do now that you’re working too!
Pace yourself! Let everyone pitch in and help! And don’t forget the Prozac!

That’s such a beautiful pumpkin but it’s that painting that really caught my eye, my good eye, ha ha,,have a good day, no Prozac in turkey, ok?

My Thanksgiving is always spent away from home. No cleaning or cooking for me. This year is the annual 2 hour trek to my sister's house (and 2 hours back). I hope your Thanksgiving is stress free and you won't need the Prozac! I love your pumpkin. And the background too!

I do hope you have a stress free holiday. Our family gathering was this past Saturday, so now can relax and focus on the next holiday...Christmas. Meanwhile I have some delicious leftovers to enjoy! It was Happy Thanksgiving here and I hope yours is too!

Yes it is Thanksgiving week and I am sitting with my recipes in my lap making my grocery list! Enjoy your day and week ahead my friend, stress-fee for sure:) HUGS!

Yep...I have thought about the Prozac in the dressing myself. Since I only make a couple of things to take to my brothers house, I don't stress that much. I don't let the family drama stress me, I ignore that crap .....UNLESS, I am in a lot of pain. When in intense pain I don't deal with drama well. My go to dishes are deviled eggs (its a given). I have two brothers and a nephew that looks for my eggs! I usually take unsweet and sweet tea. Kroger makes that easy with gallon jugs of ready made tea. I usually throw in a dessert of some sort even though my sis in law is a great baker. This yr I am making Rice Krispy treats...My friend Theresa has taught me to make those with brown butter.....OH YEAH, that stuff is amazing!

What beautiful pictures. And of course I expect a stress free Thanksgiving. Thanks to God that things are easing off on this old couple. The RV is finally finding its way to the RV hospital to fix windshields, replace carpet with wood and get a refrigerator that smells good and will keep ice cream hard for my girl. LOL
I am sure you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving, you seem like one who would (no matter what!).
Love from stress free Florida, where we have 6 Saturdays and 1 Sunday!

My thanksgiving has been stress free since 2009, when I quit trying to please extended family, and went my own way, And I give thanks every day, that this decision was made. Thank You GOD for your blessings on me.

Hope your Thanksgiving is blessed...I love you.

Hi Diana! As far as Thanksgiving Day, no stress this year - heading to my brother's home just a few short miles away. I will say I miss hosting even though it's crazy stress and a whirlwind of preparing! We are having a couple of messy remodeling projects this week, so someone else hosting is a blessing. Not enough Prozac for hosting in a remoddl! Have a wonderful, blessed Thanksgiving Diana! Blogland is thankful for you! Jane

Love your opaline pumpkin! How pretty! This Holiday season certainly can be stressful. I try to take one day at a time and make sure I have a quiet time with a cup of tea or coffee. It will all get done eventually. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your loved ones!

Hi Diana, I got my cup of coffee and thought that I would see what everyone is up to. It has been quite a year with everything that has happened. Going to my son's house Thanksgiving and then all the family will be together on Saturday evening. We aren't having traditional Turkey, but my son is smoking a brisket which suits me just fine. Just being with family is what is important. Moving into a rental is so different. Take care, my friend. Hugs and prayers your Missouri Friend Shirley

This holiday really seems to be less stressed than other years. Perhaps that's because I planned well in advance. Have a wonderful holiday.

You are too funny, Diana! My daughter and I spent hours in the kitchen yesterday baking cookies to bring to my sister's house for Thanksgiving. Thursday morning we will make our special bourbon vanilla cranberry sauce, and another dessert. Christmas is 'my' holiday, I've hosted it for the last 28 years. Have a very happy Thanksgiving!!

I could use some of that Prozac myself right about now! I finished up the shopping today, then the roofers were at my house this afternoon, now I'm on to make a big pot of soup for tonight's dinner. Tomorrow, making a corn casserole and pumpkin bars for a Friendsgiving dinner I'm going to. And I have an appt tomorrow where I'll be gone for at least a couple of hours. Wed - tons of cooking to bring to my mom's house on Thurs.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

PS - I also have contractors coming here at 7 am tomorrow to start demolition on our front porch. Yippee! lol

Maybe I need the prozac trukey. I have to go to my parents for Thanksgiving where wine is not allowed. But later we will be going to my inlaws and thats a different story where the prozac can be found in the candy dishes. Lol.

Have you seen the video on FB that a Charlotte NC church did where the man wakes up in the morning and everything is a gift, everything wrapped up, from himself to his family to his shoes and electricity and his breakfast and his briefcase, and finally as he tells his family goodbye at the front door, his cup of coffee is wrapped up. He pokes a hole in the top to drink and dances his way to his wrapped car. All gifts, all received with gratitude and happiness.

You coffee reminded me of it!

Happy Thanksgiving, Diana!

the opaline pumpkin is so so so pretty, love it! Happy Thanksgiving back to you, my friend, hope yours is great. Nope, I have no idea why the doggie had the big muzzle on---???- I have talked to that lady before and she has two of those beautiful dogs, like twins, but not sure what happened as there was no muzzle the last time I saw them out.

Christmas time certainly makes for crazy! I haven't done anything yet. Nothing. I like your pumpkin, but what about that painting behind it? I like it. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours. I'm sure it will be wonderful.

Ha ha! You are so funny. Must be laughs a minute around your table.

I thought turkey was like Prozac - so that is a lot of relaxing to be done! Love your pumpkin too.

Oh dear I'm so stressed out, it's getting ugly. I have bitten off more than I can chew. Tip: Thanksgiving and Christmas don't mix. Do one, THEN do the other. I thought I knew this, but apparently I forgot. Now I am paying the price. I hope there's enough "Thank You God Coffee" to get me through this, haaha xoxo

Love that opaline pumpkin, Diana! The older I get, the more I want to take a vacation in some tropical paradise for the holidays. Oooops - did I say that with my outside voice? It's just all so stressful.....but then you finally sit down and look around the table and think it is all worth it. But then you have to start cleaning up.....Feliz Navidad! Hope your Thanksgiving is full of sweet blessings and lots of pie. Hugs xo Karen

I think that Thank God Coffee and a prozac turkey should do the trick! Hope it's a beautiful Thanksgiving for you and your loved ones. It's a regular Thursday here, but we'll be having our own quiet celebration.

That was a good one!! I hope it worked!!! We just had our Thanksgiving yesterday (FRiday), with 23 people in our house. I could have used some of that stuff myself! LOL. Actually, it was wonderful and I have such pleasant memories today...after I put away all the pots and pans and decorations and dishes and table linens and chair and tables and put the furniture back in place and rearranged the house and started thinking about Christmas...whew!!! I sure could have used some of that stuff in my turkey. LOL> Love it. Blessings to you dear friend.
