A Few Pictures Of The Yard/Plants/Work Around Here

I am anxiously waiting for my
daughter, Mimi, and her sweet family to get here.
To prepare for the upcoming
I have been working non-stop on whipping
the yard and porches and flowers
and the old man into shape.

I took so many pictures but don't have
enough time to edit them all.
There are a lot more pictures
here than I usually post at one time.

So, I will break this up into a couple of posts
so you can get a peek at things.

This beautiful floral came from my oldest daughter
for letting the girls stay here for the last few days.
It sits on the glass-topped cherub "shelf"
that sits under the living room windows
that overlook our front porch.
It sits next to an old Eastlake wicker rocker.
Across from the chair is a swing that the kids
spend a lot of time on when they are here.
I see I took this before I had the bench pad on...
oh is what it is!

If you look towards the road from the swing
this is what you see.
This is right in front of the porch.
Those pillows are NOT staying.
I tossed them there and forgot to remove them for the photo.
Not sure why some of these pictures are so washed out looking...
Hey- Never said I was a PHOTOGRAPHER,
 did I? No. No. I didn't!
This one is a bit better!
This hangs between the tree and porch.
The birdhouse is all wonky because it has
a nest in it and I didn't want to disturb it
by "straightening" it.
The bird flew out in my face and
scared the devil out of me
well, not really-the devil is still
lurking here somewhere...
I think he is downstairs reading
his Bible and praying that I will be a good girl...
This is looking towards the garage
which is an ell to the right
(which you can't see)
Taken by the base of the front steps.
Next to the front garage doors
 (there are back ones, too)
is this huge clematis.
I must have done something right with this one..
neglect maybe?
Okay---this is the true color...
It's a beaut, isn't it?

Here's another BEAUT for you...
Courtesy of Walmart!
Ready?  SALUTE!!!!!
Is that the
you have ever seen?

You didn't really think I was going to let you
go away smiling over
MY FLOWERS did you?

Happy July 3rd!
I will try to visit if I can---
I may be just sitting around holding
Can't wait to see her walking
in that little cast she has on.

Your yard is beautiful, looks like you are all ready for the 4th!
I love that bike! What a cutie with her cast!
Enjoy your day!

Diana, I love the sitting area with the bike. Your flower do look pretty too. One of my g.daughter had a cast on her arm when she was 3...she flipped over backwards, standing in her little rocking chair..It seems sad to see little ones in casts. I think bright eyes will be a keep up with her brothers. Wishing you and your a happy fourth. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

I am in love with your porch swing. It is just the style of one that I want. We stayed in a beach house last year that had one like that and I fell in love. I know you must enjoy it tremendously, especially with grands. Happy 4th of July to you too!

Laurie said...

Love your pink bike with the flowers, Diana! I have a clematis the same color as yours. And yes, I think neglect is what they love. Happy 4th and Happy Stumper holding!

Hi Diana! Oh, everything looks so pretty and I love your porch swing. Wish our porch were deep enough to have one. Love your pretty flowers and the bike. Oh, Little Bright Eyes! I'll bet she's getting around famously with her cute little cast. So glad you'll get to be with her. Have a wonderful 4th!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

It all looks wonderful, Diana. Love the porch, flowers, bike and bunged-up cute baby. I have the same problem with pictures/lighting and all, but it's even worse with me since Mr. B has a second job . . . teaching photography!

I will be able to picture you sitting on your porch or in one of those purple adirondack chairs! poor baby with the cast.. but it probably doesnt really bother her much. Your flowers and porches are amazing, Diana. You are all set for your company.

Hug your sweet little limper for me, she isn't the only only limping, but she is so beautiful and that helps.

She sure looks just like her gma. ♥

Have a wonderful weekend.

Beautiful yard! Such a variety of places to look at.
Poor little stumper. But she doesn't seem to care so much (at least in this picture).

No wonder you're worn out. If I were you, I'd still be sittin' in the yard looking out at that beautiful sunset and waiting for the sunrise!

Love the pictures of your yard...and that bike too. I have an old bike downstairs....I want to bring it up and paint it, one of my many projects this summer. Well, the thought is there, the doing is another issue. Have a wonderful 4th with you beautiful family.

Just sit and hold 'stumper'!!!!!! Don't put her down except for bed time and nappie changes. ,-)

I love a good porch swing! Your flowers are gorgeous too! That guy's beard cracked me up! I know someone who spray paints little bow shapes on her dog's ears to look like she has bows in her hair (fur)! She uses non-toxic spray paint, of course. :) Have a wonderful time with your family this weekend!

And especially the man with the July 4th beard. How cool! "I haven't been the same since that house fell on my sister." Hahaha...Wizard of Oz.

But how in the world does that sweet baby have a cast like that?? Oh no....
