UPDATE ON MY SON-IN-LAW, JASON-THYROID CANCER SURGERY

It was a long day here.
My daughter and son-in-law
left here about 10:30 am.

His surgery was scheduled for 1pm.
Things got backed up as
often happens in a hospital setting.

He did not go in to surgery
until a little after 3pm.
They just finished his surgery
and said it went well.

There were no unexpected problems
and it appears that he
will recover in the hospital
during the next few days.

In about a month he will
have radioactive iodine
treatments and  be in
TOTAL ISOLATION
for 96 hours.

After that-
It will just be a matter of getting
his meds regulated that will
replace the function of his thyroid.

Thank you for all your prayers.
and good wishes.
We all appreciate them.
I just wanted to let you know right away
what was going on.

Love you guys!!!

Oh, my darling! I am so sorry to learn about all these troubles and worries - you can count on me - prayers being sent up soon as I am done here.

I apologize for being gone. Had to get a new computer and lost a bunch of stuff and had to relearn a bunch of stuff and life, you know, life just keeps me off the computer.

Hugs, love and prayers. Keep us posted. xxoo

Wonderful news. My granddaughter had to have hers removed when she was just a young girl. However, it was not because of cancer. Other issues. She has a hard time trying to keep it regulated as it definitely makes a difference.May he continue to improve.

That is great news. Sorry to hear about the delayed surgery time. I know all about this, as I had thyroid cancer. it has taken awhile to adjust my meds. He should be fine soon. I also decided against the Radioactive Iodine. You do have to stay away from everyone for a period of time. Always a long wait at hospitals. xo

Looks like not just your family are handsome folk but you only allow good lookers to marry INTO the family! Tell him I said so! (Sure he will be thrilled an old lady from Georgia thinks this! LOL)

Glad the surgery went well and that the follow-up takes care of the rest. I had 1/2 my thyroid taken out a couple of years ago because they thought it was cancerous, but it turned out to benign lumps. Still have to take higher doses of synthroid to make up for a nonworking thyroid.
