FUNNY ON FRIDAY

I love taking an ad
and putting my own words to it.
This one 'struck me'...
See what you think~

Good Lord, Myrtle!
If you can sway with the
choir on Sunday
surely you can get
this down before the
talent show..

Now watch...
Arms out..
Left foot up..
Up! I said UP!

What's the matter with you?
Both your feet are
planted firmly on the ground!

Besides that,
you silly woman,
look at your scarf!
All the rest of us
have ours tied nice and neat..
and look at yours..
your ends are just
flying out there
for everyone to see.

~AND~

 Your shirt
is unbuttoned so you
are starting to look like
a hussy!

Listen, Myrtle...
I don't want our group to get a bad name
before we even get started..
It doesn't matter to
me if we
ARE
Quintuplets...

Why do you
ALWAYS
ALWAYS
ALWAYS
have to be
the odd one out?

What??? I don't care if
Marlyss is turned
to one side and not in
step..
At least she has her
knee up and is
trying!

Okay- we are
gonna try this one more
time and if you don't get
it you are OUT!

You hear me?

OUT!

And don't go running
to Mama crying like
a baby like you
usually do either
because this
time she is gonna
agree with me.

After all,
the name of our
group is
Mama Martha's Girls
and she is NOT
going to want to
be ashamed of our
performance.

Ready?
HIT IT!!!

Let me know if you like this-
if so, I might make it a regular
Friday feature to start
your weekend off with a laugh~

Boy howdy, is that girl messing up! Do you go into some kind of trance when you write these or what? LOL
Oh, you have too much comedy in your bones, that's for sure. And where do you find all these goofy ads? Do you have a scrapbook of them? Makes me want to visit the doctor's office more often just so I can go through all the old ads! NOT!
Hugs- Tete

Happy Friday to ya!!! Crack that whip on poor Myrtle! The whole world is watching!

Hope you are doing well. I have read some of your posts just haven't had time to comment! Love the one with Uncle Mamas Boy and Sweet Cheeks!

Life is pretty good here. Still love the job after 2 months! The family is good but my mama is a sad situation. You understand.

Well, better go. Laundry and errands are awaiting if I can afford to put gas in the van!!

Thank you for your sweet comment, Diana. For my dried roses - I just bunched them & hung them upside down in my basement. Technically, you're supposed to let 'em hang for about a week, but I got antsy & only let them dry for 3 days. I have never used silica; that sounds interesting! Now I have picked off all the petals & I am drying the plucked off petals - stretching the beauty!

Diana, I love it. At least those ladies are trying to do the boot scooting bogie. I would be peeing my pants if I was trying that and got out of step...I just get tickled that way. :):) Blessings to all, xoxo, Susie

Oh definitely keep this up, Diana! You've got a great imagination and it would be a shame to keep it to yourself!! :-)) In fact, just yesterday I was talking with my daughter and we decided that silliness is one of the things we like about each other. And we can dish plenty of silliness out, that's for sure! Bring them on, girl!

Pom Pom said...

Ha! Maybe she's the only one actually dancing to the beat! You're funny, Miss Diana! I think this would be a great Friday feature!

I LOVE it---words, music, all the ladies in their boyfriend jeans, the purple dancin' shoes, all the sisterly harangue (practically perfect in every way) and right down to those fine pink earbobs. I'll bet they sparkle when they dance.

What a FUN Friday event! Whacha gonna call it? Will there be a naming contest? Hilarity to ensue.

PS I think your little left-hand Sweetie on the header is the sister to my own last Valentine on Lawn Tea. today.

Hi girl! Your post is refreshing...so fun and making me smile! I was doing Beach Body with my friend I met thru blogging. She is 32...I am well...you know 36 hahaha except I think I wrote my numbers backwards! HeeHee! SO I just ordered their new dance tapes the Country Heat. excited to get it and start being a non slug! This winter has been cold, it is 80 degrees today! It is a joke played on us my the Good Lord Himself, Sunday, snow in the forecast! Lordy I should know better living in Colorado where you can keep your winter boots and sandals on the same shelf. I had a FB friend say she was deeply hurt by people ranting their politics on her page. I have no time for hurt feelings, a simple "Delete"and Voila .....no longer troubled by these folks who complain and do nothing. I think a lot of folks like the sound of their own voice. Hmmm.......I go for the Scripture and the humor and phamily stuff. I am getting my Friday post up and ready soon. Thanks for stopping by and keep dancing girl! xo

One must have some foundational knowledge to appreciate the humor, which I do not doubt exists because I know you so well! 😉 Yes, I live under a rock and I have zero idea what this is all about. Obviously, not much of a tv watcher.

Silly you funny girl...but is there's anything I can relate to is that being the odd one out...She reminds me of someone who never thought I could do anything...and that little child in me still believes it. It is funny but bought back painful memories for me...:-{
