FEBRUARY-THE GOOD THE BAD & THE UGLY--- And an Update on JETTIE

The Good~
This sweet little
Vintage card.
The bad:
A real heartbreaker indeed!
The ugly:
1980's oversized heart sweater
If this is in your closet well...
I'm sorry I said anything (NOT)
What?  Didn't like THAT sweater?
How about  this one?
Reminds me of those
Christmas sweaters.
How about a heart on a pig?
Now THAT'S pretty cute if
you ask me.
But the best is yet to come!
My favorite?
This little Valentine!!!!
Couldn't you just eat him up?
Looks like somebody tried but
couldn't get past the kissing!
Hope you have a great day!

AND-
My friend, Jettie, came through
her surgery just fine.
I talked to her this morning
and she sounded full of it--
(good hospital food that is).
She has a Suthern' AKSENT
so I think she said-
"Ah'm finer than frog hairh--"
or somethin' like that!
(no she didn't)
OH! She's gonna kill me...
but she has tried before & it didn't work.

Thank you all for all
the prayers and well-wishes
for her.
She thinks she will go home
on Friday.

  8. So glad to hear your friend is doing well from her recent surgery! These pictures are delightful! Um I'm pretty certain I had a few of those 80's sweaters in my closet along with the stirrup pants to go with them, lol!!! And the big hair! I just loved the 80's 90's era. I actually just posted a picture on my Instagram of my graduation photo after getting an invite to my 25 year reunion this fall!!! Yikes! How can I be that old already? LOL I'm hoping I can go to it... Enjoy your day!

    Blessings,
    Jill

  10. Diana, I'm glad your blog friend's surgery went well. Oh, I love those vintage cards, especially the Vintage Valentines. And that pig is too cute. I wonder if they took the picture at an angle so it would resemble a heart?

    Happy February days, Diana.

    love, ~Sheri

  17. Diana, cute valentines, I especially like the one you must have snuck out behind the barn to take of me!! So glad your friend came through the surgery. I found a note that my dad had written to my mom many a year ago (older than me) where he mentioned he hoped to find her as fair as frog's hair. Must have been a sentiment that was used alot..Happy February..xxoJudy

  22. Glad to hear about Jettie! Hope she heals quickly!
Those 80 sweaters...ouch. What were we thinking? And I think it's funny they are making ugly Christmas sweaters that look like the one you showed. Oh my goodness. The 80's had bad hair, bad clothes, and bad cars.
Hearts on baby pigs=cute indeed! Cute baby too.
    Happy February!

  31. everytime I visit my BFFs in Washington state, everyone, everywhere we go always asks me where I'm from.....seriously, and that usually happens only after about 4 words come outa my mouth. I respond....Loooooosiana. And they immediately begin to laugh again. Can I help it if I use about 5 vowels for every other letter in the word???? And what's even funnier is that after Ive been with them for a few days, there or here, they always start to talk like with a little coonass slant!!! hahahahahahahahha.....yankees....gotta love 'em!!

  32. Yep, I do believe I had both those sweaters. I still may LOL. Glad to hear your friend Jettie did well. Hope you are having a good start to the new year Diana!

Give her a hug from me ( I know far away) but please do...xoxo Oh I think one of my friends had that blame heart sweater...I won't even go there with the Christmas sweaters..folded enough of them when working retail to last a lifetime...later girl.

  34. Got a kick out of that southern accent. My in-laws talk like that. Happier than a dead pig in the sunshine is something my father-in-law used to say until he lost most of his hearing.

  39. So glad your friend Jettie is doing well. Very cute comment about her southern accent. I love hearing a southern accent. Have to smile at your post. So charming and cute. Yes, it is difficult caring for our elderly parents, but I wouldn't have it any other way. xo

  52. I just read this post and the previous one about Jettie's surgery...I can't believe all she's gone through! Bless her heart! (And that's a southern saying too, right?) And here I'm scared for my upcoming knee surgery - which is only arthroscopic - on March 1st. I'm sure Jettie would say, "Piece of cake!" So glad to hear she's doing OK. Love your sense of humor...you always make me laugh. :-)

  64. Believe it or not, I bought a sweater very similar to that heart one for my daughter recently. Off the shoulder to boot. She HAD to have it. It was in a swanky store and it cost me a pretty penny. What's old is new again...and again...and again. I told her I wasn't impressed with it the first time around. Of course, that just made her want it more. I should've told her that I loved it and wanted one of my own. That would've changed her mind and quick!! ;) Teenagers!
