Spring On The Bay- Look At The Color Of Spring Here!!!!

Yes, It's true!
SPRING IS HERE!
That is what they are telling me.

So, could someone please explain
why this is a COLOR picture of the water out front?
We have had so many grey days,
I could fly.....
if I could get my broom started!

Not a speck of green to be seen...
When-Oh-When will Spring
EVER COME?

I am opening at the VA this morning.
I need to be there before 6 AM.
Do you think it would be selfish of me to
PRAY that when I got home this afternoon
that the above scene would look like this again?
Well, would that be TOO MUCH to ask?

Well, I am a little bit
WORRIED
about it...
I wonder if
SPRING
will EVER come.
Yes- I am!
I am worried!
See?
Hey- At least I got the hair color right!

Have a great day!

  1. We're gray in Texas too, but everything is green anyway. As a veteran, I thank you for your service to the veterans in your area.

  2. Storming here...for about the past 2 1/2 hours with more to come throughout the day and night! YUCK! But, I spied a bit of green outside yesterday. My chives are growing and so are my day lilies! Spring will arrive...♥

  3. I feel the same way here, Diana. Very grey and very little color. Hope Spring starts to sprout soon!

  4. Grey day here, with storms. But the leaves are very green on the maple tree. I dare you change my haircolor and claim that is a photo of you, put her hair back red and give me a break!!

  5. I am praying for the same...tired of shades of gray. The weatherman says we might see some sun on Saturday.

  6. Gosh, I wish I could send you some green. We were 90 degrees yesterday which is way too early for heat like that and the pollen is crazy!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Gray here too, outside and in my heart...living vicariously through blogs right now...hugs, jan

  8. I'm getting impatient for green grass and flowers too, Diana!
Hope your days a good one.

  9. We're beginning to green up here. We traveled a couple of hours south yesterday to Peoria and couldn't believe the difference. They had magnolias blooming!

  10. My sakes, you're gorgeous! Yes, well, if you figure out how to get your world in living color, do let me know! Hope that you will have had a good day with some of your favorite people!

  11. We've greened up overnight, it seems, here around Chicago. Lots of daffodills, leaves of resurrection lilies, those little purple flowers called squill-something, birds nesting. Cloudy, yes, but I'm encouraged!

  12. I was thrilled last week when I saw a green weed. This week, though, other things are sprouting.

  13. Isn't it ridiculous.. this not-spring thing.

  14. Sending Spring thoughts your way..... Hugs to you, Diana!

  15. We are finally greening up here in the middle of nowhere. But spring means rain! Cloudy and rainy for 4 days now. That brings May flowers, isn't that what they say!! Have a great day! xo

  16. Spring is finally arriving here in Missouri. I've actually mowed my yard once already. The ornamental trees are just starting to bud. We've had a lot of rain and storms. April showers . . . Blessings my friend!

  17. I always find that the water is that grey when its cold cold cold,,, spring will come, slowly it seems this year but surely we will not be forgotten!

  18. Hi Diana,
Our green is delayed here too. Lots of grey with rainy days ,,, but as someone with Red hair once sang - "The sun will come out tomorrow"!
    Hoping your Spring arrives soon.
    xoxo,
    Vera

  19. I know it will come! It always does, right? Here in GA, it has arrived. It's quite beautiful however we now have huge amounts of yellow powder on everything! The pollen is extra bad this year for some reason. My deck is coated in yellow and has footprints in it (like you would see in the snow). Allegra here I come!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think we're getting all of your spring because everything is greening up FAST here, and the temps are already in the 80's! Come to Georgia for some spring, Diana! You can bring some home with you!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm sure your spring will come before you know it. :) Ours is here, but so is the pollen. All the cars, outdoor tables, etc. are covered in a layer of yellow and the sneezing fest has begun. Lol! After such an early morning, I hope you get in a nap today. :)

  22. I know you're not "worried" that spring won't come... but it sure does seem to be taking its time, lol! We are having lots of green here, but not much color other than that. But things are moving in that direction! Hope your day at the VA is wonderful, know your happy demeanor is such a blessing to all you come in contact with you :) Your posts always bring a smile to my face!

  23. I wish I could send some warm weather there!

  24. Oh....it will get green soon enough!!! If you have some of that "green stuff" in your pocket....take it to the store and buy something for your backyard....a green turtle or a green frog....something green that will remind you that Spring is coming!! Hahahaha......shopping in the garden centers of Walmart always helps me...but then the "green stuff" in the pocket does not cover all that I want....oh well guess I will just go and chew some gum and blow bubbles. (don't mind me, I'm in one of those weird moods)

  25. Diana, I wish My hair looked that good. :):) Spring is not being kind this year. It's rained some yesterday and all day today. Storms, lots of ground water, flash flood warnings...which I hate. We are to have one more day of this...then maybe it will be as nice as Sunday. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  26. HA!! You might come home to white instead of green. :-))
We are to receive 3 inches of snow tonight over on the West side of Wisconsin.
No wonder you have received 2 marriage proposals...looking so cute at the VA when you are worried :-)))

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hey, you have gray! I have snow!

We both need lots of "don't-really-care-ness". -pout-

    ReplyDelete
  28. HA!! I am with you!! I can't remember it taking so long! I can not stand all of the winter gear anymore but there is supposed to be a warm up here this weekend! We shall see....cant wait till you have that gorgeous view back again! It won't be long!!!! Nicole xoxo

  29. Everything is in full bloom here......sending bright spring wishes your way...FAST!!!!

  30. I'll share my spring photos with you until you get some spring of your own!
    Brenda

    ReplyDelete
  31. Wow that picture! I have to say that is worth the wait! Hope it's there sooner than expected!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Now that would be wonderful! We're actually having a noticeable change in color now with spring rains yesterday and today--we're starting to see green!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sounds like you had to hit the ground running today, Diana! Hope all went well at the VA, you are such a sweetheart for your volunteer work. What ever happened to spring? It's been so cold and damp and foggy most of this week. It was supposed to get up to 71 today, and instead is just 55 and rainy. Ugh!!

    ReplyDelete
  34. No signs of spring here either. It's been damp and rainy and my boys are off for spring break. No trips to the park, arboretum, etc. They got to play outside on Monday but since then it's been indoors or at Grandmas.

  35. I saw your picture on my side bar with the pink heart, and thought it was a black and white picture at first. Oh Diana, I wish spring would come your way. The birds are singing here and the flowers are blooming, but can you believe it rained this week, hard! I DO love that picture of Marilyn. Here's to spring coming around your neck of the woods!

    love, ~Sheri

  36. Miserable in southeast Wisconsin lately too....flooding, storms, cold! But April showers bring May flowers so those crazy "they" people say.....Jane

  37. I would gladly chew bubble gum to have that kind of worried look!!! It is very green here in Texas and roses are blooming. I'm sure that your green will still be green when our Texas landscape turns brown in the heat. But right now, it's just plum purty!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm not digging the weather here in Massachusetts either. Woke up this morning to ice everywhere, and it thwarted my plans for a mani pedi and dinner. Oh the horror!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. It finally got beautiful here! Our Dogwoods, white, pink and the red ones are all making a beautiful showing. My tulips are bloomed, the daffodils are done almost as are the hyacinths. xx

    ReplyDelete
  40. I noticed some flowers and trees blooming just yesterday. It's coming, I am sending it your way. I won't send you the storms as they are scary. You probably have enough of those yourself. Wish I lived close to water. Hugs

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh Diana, I'm with you it was so cold yesterday and today here that I've had the heat on just to stay warm. Soon I hope the weather will change! Hope you have a nice evening! xo

    ReplyDelete
  42. Cold and raw..rainy all week. The grass is starting to get green..Can you blow bubbles???

    ReplyDelete
  43. You look pretty good worried! lol

    ReplyDelete
  44. It will get there soon. We have had several days of sunshine and the leaves are popping out all over.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Worry looks good on you! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Do you chew gum at work and blow bubbles and snap it?
I promise the green will come with so will spring allergies LOL
    Hugs, Roxy

    ReplyDelete
  47. Yeah, well if I looked like that the only worry I would have is which millionaire to go out to dinner with! : ) I hope all that green you are hoping for arrives soon. We have had rain all week here and it certainly is helping with the grass. Every day it looks like the buds are getting easier to see on the trees and the forsythia has started to bloom. It has taken a while but things are looking pretty good!

  50. Hang in as it will get there. The weather worldwide is off schedule. One day it is warm and the next cold again here. I love the summer best of all. Cannot take the cold.

  51. looks a little dull there...I'll send you some green! It might be moss green but it's green right?

  53. Oregon is getting so much color coming out--greens, pinks, whites, yellows...blossoms sprouting, trees opening up and so much beauty growing!

    ReplyDelete
  54. This spring is sure a test of patience for all of us northerners. At least it rained instead of snowing today, but along with that came tornado warnings. Really?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Uh... Hahahaha! This is funny in a crazy way! I wonder how that all worked out for you?!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Not to worry, not to worry, I shall enjoy spring for you if you Promise to enjoy summer for me!! Blessings, Cindy xoxo

    ReplyDelete
  57. Well in ohio we do have very green grass and my daffodils are blooming...so it's really not going to be long for you! By the way, don't get used to me talking sports but I had selected Wisconsin to win the whole basketball thing! Apparently they lost though

    ReplyDelete
  58. Oh my gosh the weather's been so bizarre here lately.....spring sprung, then we just got through major thunderstorms, hail, flooding and tornadoes! Guess I should be thankful we don't live in Kansas anymore (tornadoes were SO common). I would love it if the bay looked like pic number 2, too! Don't worry, this too shall pass!

  59. Ha! Love that Marilyn! That view sure is worth waiting for! Hope it happens soon for you! Cold winters mean less bugs in summer if that is any consolation :( xo K

  63. I can't believe we look the exact same when we are worried! I hope we don't get worry lines and gum all over our faces. I will send some spring your way as yesterday was beautiful here and I am a good sharer. Cheers Diana
