PRACTICING TO BE A LAWYER AND A DENTIST

How does a
FOUR YEAR OLD
get so smart?

Mom:  What's the matter with CharlesInCharge?
Big Boy E:  HUH?  What?
Mom: Why is CharlesInCharge crying?
Big Boy E:  HUH?  I dunno.
Mom:( looking around)
Did you hit him with the golf club?
Big Boy E: You mean the one with the green handle and the purple head on it?
Mom:  Yes!  That's what I mean.
Did you hit him with that?
Big Boy E:  No! I didn't hit him with that, Mom!
Mom:  Well, did you hit him with
 another one then?
Big Boy E: What do you mean?  What one?
Mom (looking around and pointing).
Did you hit him with that one?
Big Boy E:  Which one?
Mom: (pointing directly at  one)
Did you hit him with that one?
Big Boy E: (pointing)
You mean that one?
The one with the silver handle
and the green head?
Mom:  Yes!  That one!
Did you hit him with that one?
Big Boy E:.  Yes! Yes I did !
I hit him with that one!
Mom:  Ethan!!!!  WHAT DO YOU SAY?
Big Boy E:  Sorry, Chaw-lie

And that, my friends, is how Big Boy E
passed his entrance exam to law school
at AGE FOUR!

Hope you have a GREAT Friday!
If you are wondering where I was
and why I didn't visit yesterday
I will tell you this.
I spent my morning like this:
My poor dentist could not get
me numb enough to be able to
deaden a "hot" tooth.
That means I get to go back on
MONDAY morning for
 SURGICAL STRENGTH
Novocaine (or whatever it is called).
Whoo Hooo-
Doesn't that just sound like a good way
to spend a morning?
Anyway, I spent the rest of my day
yesterday licking my lips wounds.
Now the only bonus?
This is my dentist!
Yeah- see what I mean?
That would be
Yes-that is his real name.
You can click on his name for
an appointment for yourself.
No charge for the free advertising,
Bobby!
You're welcome!
Look at that-He has nice teeth, too...hmmmm..
Did you ever wonder who does
the dentist's teeth?
Maybe that would be one to put on the list.
(oh-he is gonna kill me)
Maybe I should have waited until
AFTER my appointment
to do this post, huh?
Anyway-Have a great Friday!

Hi~

I was going to say that he is a hard one to pin down!

Sorry about the dental woes. Woes? That may be hyperbole.

Liz@ HomeandGardeningWithLiz said...

Well that was no fun! The handsome dentist makes it easier to visit though! Have a great weekend!

The Lawyer in the family: Kids aren't dummies, are they?!

Why, your dentist should waive his fees in trade for such excellent free publicity. Beautiful barter system!

Hugs and happy weekend,
Kelley~

Yup, my bet is he's gonna be a lawyer. I'd hire him. Have a great weekend, Diana!

It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is. LOL

As for your dentist, I think you're just making excuses to go back and see him!! ;-)

Yup, a lawyer in the making. Never too early to learn. Lol Hope things go better at the next dentist appointment.
Have a great day! xo

Is it just me or does your Dentist look an awful lot like your SIL ???
That's the cutest Lawyer in the making I've ever seen !
xoxo

This reminds me of every single day when I was teaching preschool and had playground duty...did you push her off that swing? THAT swing? No...I love the logic!

Sneaky boy! He will probably make a good lawyer one day. He's not fessing up to anything until he's questioned directly about it huh?? What a "hunky" dentist! My dentist is nice looking but NOT sexy. He instead has a fantastic personality and a joy to be around. Full of jokes and always in a good mood and smiling. He makes you forget that you're about to get poked and prodded while there. I told my husband that since he's the owner of the practice and it's large, that he's so happy because he sees how much $$$$ he's making with so many patients in chairs all day. LOL!

That's one nice looking dentist! I have a woman dentist who used to be in the Navy. She is really nice and very good but she doesn't look like Dr. Robert Wagner! Hope all goes well with you on Monday.

That Big Boy E is going to make it in the law profession for sure. I used to work for lawyers so I know!

Diana, You may need a good lawyer...I know where you can get one and he will probably work for cookies. LOL. I have had dentist try to find a tooth that is so sensitive it is making all around it hurt...they get that little hammer device, hit the teeth, they get the air , blow on the teeth and gums, get the ice put it on the teeth.....after this is all done, I tell you I am ready to have them all pulled and just get dentures...I call it torture, the dentist calls it process of illumination. Me arse... I have a tooth missing..it had a filling, then a bigger filling, then a root canal, then a crown, and then I lost it any way...WTH...So I can not even go to the dentist without thinking, "Am I throwing good money after bad?" I have a fortune in dental fixings. My dentist says a lot of that is from poor nutrition from by childhood. Hope you get good results on Monday. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

Big Boy E cracks me up, Diana! I say he has a strong career ahead of him as a politician.........
Sorry about your dental woes. At least you have a super cute dentist to look at!!
I have a great dentist too, but he is not a Robert Wagner type:)!

I agree with Donna above, Big Boy E is going to be a politican after he completes law school. Hope all goes well on Momday at the dentist's YIKES!
Have a delightful weekend,
Vera

You have to be specific when it comes to children....lol.
Well, well, well....I can see why you are going back to see "Bobby" on Monday. Don't forget to have your tooth looked at while you are there.

If the world keeps going like it is now, we will all need lawyers - so your Big Boy E might make a very nice living some day. But - he might want to be careful. An assault charge would not look good on his resume. LOL Maybe Charles in Charge will cut him some slack and not press charges.

Oh Babe!!!! Couldn't get enough, to deaden the pain? Owwwwwwwch!

I am one of those, who needs "enough Novocaine to deaden a horse" people. I understand. And even gazzzzing up at Bob Wagner, wouldn't do the trick, either. ,-)

Lots of good wishes, for the Mon. appointment.

-sighhhhhh-

Marilyn @ MountainTopSpice said...

Great chuckle there Diana! Kids are really something aren't they! I would say he definitely has a career ahead of him that involves being a lawyer or a politician lol! So funny! Hope your tooth gets fixed on Monday without pain this time! Those things are definitely not fun, but at least you have a wonderful dentist in charge :)

I sat in the dentist chair this week too. Remember when i had the "freak accident with the fork" a ffw weeks back? Well its still hurting.....i went in to make sure there was no breakage. The tooth didn't break....but i damaged the underlying ligaments!!! Dang i do the weirdest stuff!!!!! Ha! My dentist is a woman

Kim said...

Haha! Sweet little guy! Who? Me? lol

And handsome big guy! Mine's a woman. But I'm kinda glad about that because I wouldn't want a handsome man looking into my mouth unless I'm married to him. Just isn't that pretty a sight!

Do you take fish oil? Just curious. I've found that fish oil AND actually cod liver oil (yes, I occasionally take that) cause my teeth to be more sensitive and I require more novo at the dentist. I had to back off because of that. Weirdest thing!

Lisa @ Texas Decor said...

I'd say you have a pretty savvy lawyer there! Smart boy! Oh man, I'll be thinking of you on Monday. As you know, dental visits are not my favorite. Lol! Hope the surgical strength works! :)

Man, he really is going to have to start his own practice soon.

Kids are born smarter this day and time. Just blows my mind what they can do and I cannot. I have a nice looking dentist too, but still do not like to go. I have a broken tooth, but putting off getting fixed as I hate going so bad. Enjoy the way you present things.

LOL. This is why kids are so great at riddles. Hope your visit to the dentist next week is a painless one. Hugs, Nancy

The dentist is one of my least favorite visits. I have a really great dentist it is just he is always finding something that needs to be taken care of. Well, you take care and get better soon. I will pray that all goes well. Those kiddos are sure cute! Have a good weekend.

Too funny and your little grandson is adorable, we have a 4 year old also. Good luck with the dentist!

Adam said...

Novocaine is not what they use anymore, I should know. The lady at the desk at the dentist office made me feel like I was retarded because I thought they still used it. Lidocaine is what most dentists use now

Wow..might be worth coming half way across the country to see him..What a cutie..That four year old spends too much time around you !! Love the comment you left on Bevs blog today..I don't know how you come up with that stuff..I'd like to examine your mind !! Have a wonderful weekend..

oh.
that was cruel.
i'm sorry.
i should have said you have ALLLLLL weekend to anticipate seeing that gorgeous dentist again! XOXO♥

I feel for you! I'm one of those that they can't get enough Novacaine and/or whatever else to deaden my mouth. It's horrible! My dentist (now retired) had a name for it but I don't remember what it was. Guess we're more alike than we thought! :) Hope you feel ok this weekend.

Ethan is on the road to a bright future, huh? :)

Yes, that's always been a question of mine........Who does the dentist's teeth? Seriously! I hope all goes well Monday morning. It's been awhile for me. Enjoy your weekend, Diana.

How did that 4 year old get so smart already? Love his answers. His mom knows him well. good luck at the dentist office. I have a very nice dentist and he is a young cutie, too. :)

Debby said...

He is certainly smart . And a wee bit funny. Love those eyes. Our dentist is a friend of my sons. He called me Mrs. and I said you can't do that because there are three of us. He said I was the original. I asked if I had to call him Dr.
12 showings now. Open house this Sunday. One of these have to bring an offer, don't you think. Just how many showings does it take to sell a house.
I am exhausted and heading to bed. A long week. Very worried about my DIL. Keeping the granddaughters from missing there mo is hard.
