Sweet Cheeks-- The End Of An Era

It was a SAD
SAD DAY
in Nana Land.

I was outside on the patio
after a heavy rain
and look what I found
sitting on the patio table.
One lonely
SNOW WHITE SHOE
that doesn't fit our little
SWEET CHEEKS
anymore.
Can you see that the shoe had
been hot glued together more than once?

It matched the sweet little
SNOW WHITE DRESS
that SweetCheeks used to wear.
That was
HER UNIFORM
when she was at our house.

WHERE OH WHERE
did that little girl go?

Oh- THERE she is!
She went to school and has
A WHOLE NEW UNIFORM NOW!
Oh My!

Thank Goodness I have another little
Princess In The Making
coming along.
I think I might buy our little
Bright Eyes
A WHOLE NEW SET OF
PRINCESS SHOES!
source

Yep!  Sorry SweetCheeks
they DO come in baby sizes!

Still recovering here-
back soon!

Diana, I know that tug at your heart...when you see that your little girl is growing up before your very eyes. Waaaaa...don't get me started. You know it kills me that our children and grandchildren grow up too fast. Hope today is a good day for you. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

I know.... Im watching Torry turn into a little boy.. all boy.. cars and trucks and ninjas kind of boy. his mother wanted to dress him in something cute, on last time for halloween, but he wanted to be some ninja warrior.. She wanted him to be an owl.. so I suggested a ninja owl.. lol! then I told his mother that he is not a baby anymore and has his own ideas and opinions on things.. (which she really does already know) but she must have then compelled to let him be what he wanted to be, so she took him back to get the costume that he really wanted and they came out of the store.. (I waited in the car.. after a long day of shopping..) with Torry carrying a sword. He now just wants to be a ninja owl! LOL! turns out grammie has the best ideas! so he will be wearing the cutest owl costume and carrying a sword! LOL! yeah.. hes gonna hurt someone with that thing.. I can see it coming! lol! happy weekend my friend! ps.. your sweet cheeks is still pretty adorable!

Oh Sweet Cheeks is growing up! It's heartbreaking. I'm sure that personality of hers will never change though and that's such a good thing! Bright Eyes is going to be quite a princess in her own right. All your grandchildren are so beautiful, Diana.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

Hope you are recovering well. It is sad to see children grow up, even while we are proud of them as they mature. I occasionally miss the days when my children were young. No grandchildren yet, and maybe not for quite some time. I'll just enjoy other people's!

They do grow up too fast. Take care and rest up.............we'll be here waiting for you.

Hope you are feeling back to normal soon! I bet Sweet Cheeks will be able to pass down a lot of her "princess" clothes.

How luck you are, to have another tiny girl, to dress sweetly, for years to come. :-))))))

Hope all is well, after your bit of health stuff.

Take it easy. No matter how small, you still had something "done". Your body would appreciate a bit of rest, I'm sure.

Yes, even if r-e-s-t is not usually in your vocabulary!!!!

I was thinking about you last night...hoping you were getting some rest.
Sweet cheeks sure is growing into a young lady...fast!! I'm sure she still has that "spunk" in her that makes us all laugh, though.
I guess it's time to pass on the shoes to the new little princess...she's so adorable, Diana. The whole kingdom is full of cute royal family members over there!!
Enjoy your day, dear friend.

These things are so hard. I'm still not dealing well with my baby being 13. It seems so unfair that I can't just stop time, although 13 isn't really where I'd stop it! Not that she's not still a sweetie but I sure miss having a preschooler!

Man, just a few short years ago I could have set you up with about 20 pairs of Princess shoes, I kid you not. Once my two girls got too old for them I kept them a while, they really were so full of memories. Finally the day came to donate them, and it was the end of an era in our house, too:) Both gkids are beautiful. Just want to squeeze that baby's cheeks! Have a great weekend!

Sweet Cheeks is on to bigger and better things. I bet she remembers her time as Snow White as fondly as you do, in her little girl way.

Enjoy every little minute! I hope your feeling much better! <3
My youngest a senior in high school, left for school dressed up for homecoming weekend in a pink tutu. They wore pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. Every girl had a burger king crown to decorate and with the words senior written across them. What a sight!!!

Oh, they do grow up fast, don't they? I loved seeing the little Snow White shoes for SweetCheeks. And that little Bright Eyes is adorable. I forgot to mention that the picture of her in one of the posts below was incredibly sweet. At first, I thought it was a picture from a magazine. I think that head cover up made the picture, she looks beautiful. I hope SweetCheeks is enjoying her school days.

They do grow up, but "LOOK" she still has those 'sweet cheeks' and you do have the cute little one to look forward to playing snow white with! I bet sweet cheeks would love a bigger size shoe too!

When ever my very superstitious BFF has to buy one of her four kids shoes, she says a prayer of thanks to g-d that they are healthy and growing! You know I love me some sweet cheeks but that little baby princess is pretty gorgeous!

Sweetcheeks MUST grow up, we expect to see her on TV at any time and all your readers will know her and she will have her own fan club just because of you! Those little baby shoes, I wonder how many of us said, "AHHH", all at the same time! :-)

Oh, if only we could keep them babies for just a bit (no a lot) longer! Sweet Cheeks is really cute, but so is the babe!

Oh Diana I bet it was sad to see that lonely shoe outside. What precious memories attached. I know bright eyes will fill snow whites shoes nicely. Ohhhhh why can't they just stay small.

Why do they get so big so fast? Twice as fast as our kids grew:-)
Prayers for a quick recovery.

Awwww, so sweet! I remember putting away many things from my own kids with a sense of relief. "Won't be tripping over THESE anymore!" But when grandkids outgrow costumes or favorite activities? It's all wistful sadness. I do have a string of little ones coming up to fill the space though. A total of seven, all under age six. So, like you, there's still a load of fun ahead!
Your precious little Bright Eyes is a true princess in the making!
