Lilacs And Bleeding Hearts And Playing House

Here's what's sitting on my kitchen counter.
That is taken with the sun shining through
the window that faces the bay.
The sun also glances off the clear glass
that I have arranged on a cutting board
made by a special friend of ours.
Do you see the playhouse in the background?
Well...look at this!
Does it look like the Clampetts live there?
(Anyone else remember the Beverly Hillbillies?;>)
It is Spring Cleaning time!

SOOOO--
Today I will be re-cleaning the play house...
and setting up a tea party....
and maybe,
if you are nice and promise not to feed
the crows jumping beans,
then tomorrow I might show you the
PLAYHOUSE all set up for SUMMER.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

What a great summer home for all the little ones! I had a tree house when I was small, when it was my turn it became my very own cottage but when my brothers had their turn it became a fort! We even had electric, phone and television thanks to my Dad's carpentry skills. Oh such wonderful memories! Have a great day Diana!

Where's Jethro? Enjoy your cleaning day. I would think it would be a lot more fun to do than the big house.

Ah the Clampetts, I remember them well! I loved how they passed each other the vittles using the snooker cues, and I can still see Granny sat in her rocking chair on top of the truck...

I would use that summer home as my "hideaway" from the hubs, since he's always looking for me! Your bleeding hearts are so pretty, I love how the flower dangle like rain drops. I need to get my butt in some more spring cleaning, and I'd love to stop by for a tea party. I also now know how to tune a fish!

Too hot for playhouses here in summer, but yours looks COOL! I need to Spring Clean our barn apartment (luckily with air conditioning), but my cleaning girl quit (again!!!). Guess it is left up to me :( Linda@Wetcreek Blog

Your first picture makes me feel like I'm a fairy, nestled beneath the blossoms!
But I really cannot wait for more details on that fairy tale of a playhouse! Precious!

Oh, I can smell your lilacs from here, Diana. I just love that little play house. I would like to have one just like it when I have grandchildren. And thanks for letting me know what that plant was on my post. It was so pretty, but I just couldn't figure out what it was. Someone else said it may be some kind of oat?

Enjoy your day cleaning the play house out.

love,
~Sheri

Love the flowers and the playhouse! Laynee was here today and we had a tea party, then painted, then had another tea party. And then played with the magnetic alphabet letters. We then closed out the morning with a trip to McDonalds for a happy meal. And no, she is not spoiled! LOL

The flowers are beautiful Diana, my bleeding hearts didn't come back this year. The Beverly Hillbillies was one silly show and I watched it faithfully lol, so yeah I sure do remember the Clampetts. Granny was my favorite. The kids playhouse is way to adorable. I'll bet lots of fun times are had in there.

I think the Clampett's would have been mighty proud to own a home like that ( well before they hit oil - black gold - texas tea ) lol
It's so pretty - can't even imagine it looking any sweeter!
