A Little Birdie Told Me

A little birdie told me
that there were some
REAL TREASURES
hidden in Ruth's house.
Oh-My!
Was that little birdie right!!!!
She gave me a set of these.
They are the sweetest little
dishes ever!
My camera was all clouded
up from the humidity-
this was the best of them all.
Here's the markings on the bottom
MyHero popped in to see how
things were going.
He said he couldn't stay because
he had a job to do-
A LOT OF WORK TO DO
at home.

We decided to quit early because
everyone was tired out
AND we can't do much more
until the auction house makes
a pick up.
I get home unexpectedly early.
Guess what?
Here is how I found MyHero.
In front of the TV-
eating the last piece of
chocolate birthday cake and
watching a movie about
Jackie Robinson.
I guess that
"little birdie"
forgot to tell me that
he got a new job as a
MOVIE CRITIC!
Boy-wish I could get a job like that!

and it doesn't even matter what's on - a movie he's seen 10 times - anything lol
Those plates are gorgeous!!!

Love the birdie dishes. Hope you got some rest since you knocked off early. I haven't been out yet, but the sun is shining and no rain. Not sure if it cooled down or not.

Those are the sweetest birdie dishes. I'm glad you will be able to enjoy them. Didn't you know that birthday celebrations go on for multiple days? It's 10 degrees cooler this morning than it was yesterday. Fingers crossed the heat dome is done. I hope the cooler weather has extended across the big lake.

Diana,
Oh I love the plates. Those are so great. I bet not only cute but worth some money. Hang on to those treasures. You are such a dear friend to help Ruth sort through her life savings of treasures. That is not only physically challenging but emotionally challenging too. I am sure it is hard to let go of a lot of her special things she has collected. Glad she has someone like you to help her with this emotional part of her journey in life.
