My Hero And The Elf On The Shelf

Now, I know that some of you
have husbands that take naps.
I have one that seems to
take a
LOT OF NAPS...
especially when there is
lots of stuff on the
TO DO LIST!

Today,
unbeknownst to MyHero,
there is a little
friend joining him.
Look how cute!
The BOTH have
sleep masks.
He moves around  a bit
to get more comfortable.
However, our little elf
is not much of a napper.
As you can see he has
pushed HIS mask up
so he can see what is
going on.
Hey- Buddy- time to
WAKE UP!
Whaddaya doing under there?
Sigh...Looks like MyHero
is still sleeping soundly.
BIG SIGH!
NOW WHAT?????
Thank you, Little Elf!
You have done your job
for the day.
You have helped me with
PAY BACK for
too many naps!
Revenge is
SO SWEET!

Pssstttt... tomorrow is
Christmas Eve!
You better be good now
that you are awake!

  8. Haha! He's gonna get you for this, Diana! : ) My hubby usually naps while watching television. One time we put my granddaughter's teddy bear under his arm while he was sleeping {and she added a baby doll on his lap}. Gotta love a grandchild who, at 2 1/2, already has a sense of humor alongside mine!

Jack would have woken up by then... either your guy is a sound sleeper or really does not want anything on the "to~do" list given to him... I hope I see you back here tomorrow!... xoxo Julie Marie

  14. Oh all of you girls and your elves crack me up! You are a little devil, Diana. When my husband napped and began snoring loudly, my son and I recorded those awful noises and then let him hear it. He kept telling us it was NOT him. We begged to differ, what with our proof. LOL
Enjoy your Christmas holiday, my friend. hugs, Sue

  17. Only a man could nap at this critical phase of the preparations! Good thing you have elf help in the house.

I'm thinking you have just put yourself in the 'naughty' category!
It may be a lump of black coal for you, dear lady.
Your hubby, on the other hand, may not want to be your helper but the mans sure a good sport. For that I think he should go in the 'nice' category!!
    Have a Super Christmas!

  27. What a good sport. My man takes nap on the sofa and he also says . I am not sleeping. Right.

Last night I was bad. My man was snoring in bed. I told him like that comercial. Your on the sofa guy. He went. In morning he said I slept good. I said I finally did also. He said. Of course you did Carol Ann. In five minutes after I left room you snored like old Saint Nick before he goes on his Christmas rounds. I said then I must be Mrs Saint Nick getting my beauty sleep with you get back with huge supper.

Your hubby is a real good sport Nan he needs to be on the good list.

  30. Same at my house, Diana. Sigh. We all have a bug, but there must still be cookies and dinner and presents wrapped. Does your elf have an uncle or someone down south? I need assistance and I'm on my own here!
Bruce is even in the bed! Just me and Sophie in the kitchen. More cookies for us. :)
    Happy Christmas, Diana!

  36. Oh my gosh, I am dying laughing! You had better run and hide. lol! Can't believe hubby slept through it all. My hubby doesn't take naps, but lately he's been waking up at 5:30 and can't go back to sleep. He will doze off on the couch if we are watching t.v. We are both kindof early risers and then get a 2nd wind at night. Party animals you might say, lol! If you call staying up late a party.
    Hugs,
    Jann

  37. When I see these naughty elves, it makes me wish I'd pulled my little vintage elf out to play too! I've been watching friends doing things they wouldn't normally do, but that little elf seems to bring out such a playful naughty side...However Diana, I think your little elf has always been your little sidekick...I have a feeling your Hero has quite a sense of humor too! Have a Blessed Holiday, Big hugs, Debbie @ Cottage Hann~Me~Downs

  38. ROFL! Too funny! Jim fell hard asleep one time when my kids were still in high school. He was sitting on the couch holding a cup in his hand. We took the cup away and replaced it with a stuffed animal. Then we wait for him to wake up and when he did, he lifted the "cup" up to his mouth and realized it wasn't what he thought it was LOL!
